I always enjoyed baking up a storm growing up.
Mum and I had a deal, if I filled the biscuit tins she'd do my dishes.
With that being the sweetest deal imaginable as a kid, you can guarantee that kitchen looked like a tornado had been through it every time I baked!
Fast forward a decade, I replied to an ad for an entry level chef when I first moved to Palmerston North.
You could say I fell into the world of cooking professionally by accident, being a chef wasn't something I'd really considered.
It was the only job I could get at the time, and well, turns out pursuing ones hobby as a job can pay off and I have been stuck in kitchens ever since!
With almost 20 years industry experience as a qualified chef, working my way up and down the ladder, in NZ & QLD, from cold section to grill to patisserie, cafes to restaurants, hotels to golf courses and even mobile catering, I felt the time had come to pour my energy and creativity into pursuing my own dreams and passions.
From that Anna Louise Cakes & Cater was born, a creative outlet for me to do whatever I please!
With celebration & wedding cakes front and centre these days, don't worry, I won't be letting all those years in kitchens go to waste. With boutique catering services available I'm here for most of your food needs.
